BOSTON — The Massachusetts House on Wednesday passed a supplemental budget that includes $347.7 million in additional spending this year, to make up for budget shortfalls in areas like snow and ice removal and health insurance claims for state employees.
“They were items that were not unexpected and were fairly typical for mid-year supplemental budget items,” said State Rep. Stephen Kulik, D-Worthington, vice-chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means.
