Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley said he wishes “great blessings” for Gov.-elect Charlie Baker as he assumes the Corner Office next month and hopes he helps to improve the plight of the poor, particularly by addressing the sudden closing of the Long Island shelter in Boston and the ongoing wave of homeless families in Bay State hotels.
