QUINCY – Amid a surge in the state’s population of homeless single men, women and teens, homeless shelters in Quincy and Brockton and 30 other shelters and services across the state have for the first time joined to ask the Legislature for what they say is an overdue funding increase.
“We’re at a tipping point. We need some help,” Father Bill’s Place & MainSpring CEO John Yazwinski said Tuesday in a meeting with The Patriot Ledger editorial board.
